THE RESORT

Val Cenis is a family oriented mountain resort, where the welcome and hospitality are almost a way of life, a tradition dictated by the Col du Mont Cenis, the ancient high mountain pass between France and Italy; a route to the Piedmont dating back to the 12th century!

Val Cenis is situated in the Valley de la Haute-Maurienne. This family resort has been developed on a pleasingly human scale, offering the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. It offers charmingly tranquil villages, unspoiled nature and all the pleasures of skiing.

From Val Cenis you will enjoy access to an extensive ski area located between 1300 and 1800 metres above sea level, offering a total 1500 metres of height differences. No less than 300 km of varied pistes await you, including 125 km connected via ski lifts, where the queues are usually very short.

This area has everything required to fulfil the expectations of skiers of all ages and all levels. There are also 2 snow parks and 4 km of Nordic trails. Val Cenis invites you to enjoy the pleasures of winter sports!

The ski resort of Val Cenis is open from December 13th, 2015 to April 22nd, 2016.

THE ACTIVITIES

The Val Cenis resort offers a wide range of sports and outdoor activities in all seasons, catering for all tastes.

In winter, you can enjoy skiing or snowboarding on the pistes of the resort, as well as tobogganing, ice skating and snowmobiling. You can also try some more unusual activities such as snowshoeing, dog sledding, or ice diving! Additionally, the Val Cenis resort offers the opportunity to discover new disciplines such as the yooner. This small, lightweight and comfortable sled is a radically new design combining the comfort of the bicycle with the stability of the scooter.

During the summer, there are many outdoor activities on offer. You can hike the many trails that make up the region. Other activities to test yourself against include water sports (rafting, diving, canoeing, kayaking), mountain biking and orienteering. The more intrepid can, if they wish, try paragliding, alpinism or other forms of climbing. Taste the thrill!
